Many Traditions, One City

Belfast is a city shaped by many communities, cultures, and traditions. While Christianity has historically been the largest faith tradition in the city, Belfast is now home to a growing diversity of faith and belief communities whose members have brought new traditions, perspectives, and cultural richness to the city.

The Faith in Focus Trail celebrates this diversity by highlighting some of the communities that contribute to Belfast’s social, cultural, and community life. Each tradition represented in the trail reflects a unique history, while also sharing common values such as community, compassion, service, and belonging.

Through learning about different beliefs and traditions, we can better understand both what makes us different and what connects us.
